I found this article (link) to be of extreme interest for many of our clients and customers on multiple fronts. If you are a current landlord of traditional rental property (i.e. unfurnished + utilities) you can confidently plan on increases to your monthly rental income over the next several years. Corporate Housing landlords have been enjoying premium pricing for better than 15 years and this should continue. If you have been thinking about buying a/another primary or investment property there may not EVER be a better time to do it...for many reasons: 1) As I currently work with buyers I am seeing incredible deals out there 2) Interest rates are still reasonably low 3) Maryland is offering a 0% loan that can be used for a down payment and/or closing costs 4) Demand for rentals will not only increase over the next year or so, it is my opinion they will sustain for a good 5-7 years. I will write about each of these reasons in more detail in the enusing days.

Have you ever had the unlikely thought that you would sell your house faster than expected; that you couldn’t buy a house as fast as you thought; that the house/condo/apartment you currently live in might experience damage due to a flood, a tree toppled over, or a fire; that your employer might relocate you, or place you on assignment for 3 months, to a city outside of your home state? These scenarios happen more frequently than one might expect, in fact, to hundreds and hundreds of people every day. For each scenario there must be an alternative housing solution. One such solution for housing periods of 30 days or more is ‘corporate housing’. It also is referred to as furnished housing, temporary housing, disaster relief housing, furnished apartments/condos, or interim housing. The term may be different but the solution is one in the same.
